To accelerate product and market development, NMDG NV, a provider of ‘next-generation characterization and analysis tools’ for the high-frequency electronics and communication market, has secured a meaningful amount of venture capital funding. In 2006, the Belgian company was able to strengthen its position through the R&D industrial project, which was granted by IWT Flanders, the Institute for the promotion of Innovation by Science and Technology in Flanders, Belgium. The new funds will be used to expand the company's product portfolio and to broaden its market and customer support.

“The funds give us the sustainability required to build a company that will impact the high frequency design and test process,” said Marc Vanden Bossche, CEO of NMDG. “We now have the means to realize our vision of becoming the number one supplier of tools to characterize and analyze high frequency active components The new funds also allow us to increase our presence in key markets and to accelerate our revenue growth based on existing and new products.”

Doug Rytting, who has joined the NMDG board of directors, commented, "In the domain of large signal modeling and characterization of high frequency devices and systems, NMDG has pioneered many new and novel measurement techniques that provide unique insight that has not been available before. As the company continues to grow and innovate, the company will provide even more understanding of devices and components used in communications and large-signal applications."
