Just seven months after establishing its first office in the Asia-Pacific region, e2v has recruited more staff, is moving to new, larger premises and is planning to extend its presence into Japan and Korea. The company has a long history of supplying product to the region, both from direct sales and via a network of distributors and with sales to the Asia-Pacific region now exceeding $30 M, the Hong Kong office plays a vital role in the e2v’s global operations.

There are now six people in the Hong Kong office and one in Beijing. Staff include a strong combination of experienced e2v employees and Hong Kong nationals, with essential local business and custom knowledge. The company is also in the process of recruiting field engineers for Korea and Japan specifically to support its imaging business.

“We have always been committed to the region, but by establishing our own office here in Hong Kong we have taken our commitment to another level,” commented John Brewster, e2v’s VP of sales, Asia-Pacific. He continued, “Our customers and distributors have been very positive about our new office, recognizing how it helps us to provide them with a better service.”
