Comtech Receives $5.9 M of Movement Tracking System Orders

Comtech Telecommunications Corp. announced that its Maryland-based subsidiary, Comtech Mobile Datacom Corp., received orders totaling $5.9 M under its Movement Tracking System, or MTS contract, with the US Army. Total orders received to date against the $463.2 M MTS contract increased to $404.7 M.


The orders are for the supply of Comtech's MT-2012 mobile satellite transceivers, installation kits, technical support services and satellite network bandwidth to support ongoing MTS Program activities in the United States and abroad. Comtech's Model MT-2012 mobile satellite transceivers feature embedded Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology, including Savi Technology's ISO-compliant EchoPoint RFID Reader, as well as secure Global Positioning System (GPS) capabilities.

Fred Kornberg, president and chief executive officer of Comtech Telecommunications Corp., said, "We are proud of our continuing participation in the MTS Program. We look forward to supporting the MTS Program and its ongoing communications requirements."
