RF Industries', RF Neulink Telemetry Division announced it has been awarded a second phase follow-on contract, valued at approximately $380,000, for its flagship NL6000 wireless modem from Manufacturing Technology Inc. (MTI), the successor system integrator for training systems (PM TRASYS), training products and services to the United States Marine Corps.

"This follow-on contract to the first Phase USMC contract, which was valued at approximately $300,000 and shipped in July 2006, raises the total value to date for the USMC order to nearly $680,000," said Robert White, Neulink's sales and marketing director.

The initial first phase contract included $71,000 of non-recurring engineering expenses procured by SRI International, the former USMC Lead Systems Integrator Range Modernization and Transformation.>

The NL6000 was designed to meet the functional and performance requirements of mobile data applications for police, fire and emergency medical services, electric and gas distribution, wireless data networks, field service and transportation applications, including courier, taxi and trucking services. The modem's small footprint, separate telemetry and mobile media access layers, and flexible and narrow-band capabilities are compelling features for OEM and system integrators in the mobile data market.
