Xi'an HengDa Microwave Technology (HD) is an established Chinese company that has been a player in the international market for more than ten years. However, the MTT-S IMS 2007 is very significant as it is the first time that the company has participated in an overseas exhibition.

The event also marks the launch and promotion of a strategic partnership between HD and Vector Telecom Pty. Ltd. (VT), an Australia-based microwave telecommunications company.

We see this partnership enabling Xi'an HengDa Microwave Technology to serve its overseas market much better in the future because it integrates the strengths of both companies: HD’s competitive price and good quality and Vector Telecom’s professional distribution service and brand management. And as the MTT-S IMS is the premier international exhibition specifically for the microwave industry it provides the best opportunity for HD to introduce this new overseas distribution channel to target customers.

As a major microwave industry player in China, HD has been recognized as one of the best manufacturers. We’ve been getting inquires from everywhere in the world, and many foreign customers have visited our sites in China. We are seeing great demand from overseas markets. To satisfy that demand we are building new factories and investing more in research and development and we envisage that in two year’s time, our manufacturing capacity will have doubled.

Therefore, we believe that now is the right time for Xi'an HengDa Microwave Technology to show its face to the international market. That is why we are participating in the MTT-S IMS and view it as a milestone of HD’s international exposure. It means we are fully prepared to compete on a larger stage with higher quality standards.

Looking forward, one of the key challenges facing Chinese suppliers operating in the overseas market is to meet RoHS requirements. The cost of RoHS test and certification is still relatively expensive in China, and this will remain so for the foreseeable future.

For now we are very much looking forward to MTT-S IMS 2007. Hawaii is closer to Asian countries, which is an advantage and a fantastic place that everyone wants to visit. It would be interesting to hold such an event in China, where the market is growing with many businesses in the microwave industry. There would be a lot of interest from both sellers and buyers.

Maybe one day, but for now we look forward to welcoming an international audience to Booth 411 in Honolulu.
