Sirenza Microdevices announced the production release of the SGC series of active bias amplifier ICs, which includes 10 new SiGe hetero-junction bipolar transistor (HBT) Darlington amplifiers, configured with Sirenza’s patented active-bias network.

“Sirenza continues to build upon our leadership position in high performance SiGe amplifiers with the SGC series,” said Jeff Gudewicz, Sirenza’s director, standard products business unit.

“Typical active bias IC solutions often require a package change and a new printed circuit board layout. The Sirenza solution offers the flexibility to directly implement active bias into existing designs and allows performance directly from a 3 or 5 V supply in popular, industry-standard IC package styles.”
