Comtech Telecommunications Corp. announced that its Maryland-based subsidiary, Comtech Mobile Datacom Corp., received orders totaling $1.8 M for its Mobile Aviation and Ground Satellite Data Communications Transceivers and related products. The orders were received on the company's General Services Administration (GSA) schedule.


The orders are for the supply of Comtech's Model 2011 mobile satellite data transceivers and related products. The transceivers are integral to the Force XXI Battle Command Brigade and Below (FBCB2) - Blue Force Tracking Aviation (BFT-AVN) program.

BFT-AVN relies on the Model 2011 satellite transceiver to provide real time position reporting, air traffic avoidance and sharing of situational awareness information over extended mission distances.
