TRAK Microwave Corp. announced that it has received a production contract from Ball Aerospace (Broomfield, CO) for the continuation of the ATACMS (Army Tactical Missile System) program.


TRAK will supply its custom-designed switch network assembly that is integrated with the ball aerospace antenna system and then delivered to the prime contractor, Lockheed Martin.

The TRAK integrated subsystem consists of a filter/limiter, low noise amplifier and switch network. The contract award was in excess of $600K for this production phase release.

The Army TACMS unitary missile is a responsive, all weather, long-range missile, with a high explosive, single burst warhead fired from the multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) family of launchers.

The ATACMS Block 1A unitary missile is combat proven in joint operations during Operation Iraqi Freedom, and is the latest addition to the current ATACMS family of munitions.
