Comtech Telecommunications Corp. announced that its Maryland-based subsidiary, Comtech Mobile Datacom Corp., received orders totaling $24.3 M in support of ongoing Movement Tracking System Program activities. The orders were received on the company's Movement Tracking System (MTS) contract with the US Army. Total orders received to date against the $418.2 M MTS contract increased to $353.2 M.

The orders are for the supply of Comtech's MT-2012 mobile satellite transceivers, ruggedized computers, installation kits and technical support services. Comtech's model MT-2012 mobile satellite transceivers feature embedded Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology, including Savi Technology's ISO-compliant EchoPoint RFID Reader, as well as secure Global Positioning System (GPS) capabilities.
