Five-bit Digital Attenuator
The model AD280-25 GaAs IC FET five-bit digital attenuator operates over the frequency range from DC to 2 GHz and features a least significant bit of 0.5 dB and a total attenuation of 15.5 dB. Bit values are 0.5, 1, 2, 4 and 8 dB. The attenuator is designed for applications requiring high attenuation accuracy, low insertion loss and low intermodulation, including cellular radio, wireless data, wireless local loop and other gain level control circuits. The device offers low DC power consumption and is manufactured in a low cost SOIC-16 plastic package. Price: $5.10 (10,000).

75 W BNC/Switch Connector
This BNC/switch coaxial connector is a bulkhead, right-angle receptacle connector combined with an integral switch that features an impedance of 75 W and operates from 0 to 4 GHz with an SWR of 1.5. Designed for use in data, video and telecommunications equipment to provide a shielding signal and isolated ground signal, the connector is ideally suited for systems requiring routing of a signal back into the PC board when the port is not in use.

High Power Splitter/Combiner
The model 4ATTA0405 four-way high power AdrenaLine“ splitter/combiner for modular amplifiers, including DCS, PCS and W-CDMA applications, covers the 1.8 to 2.2 GHz frequency range. Flexible Coaxial Cable
The HELIAX“ VXL5-50 extra flexible 7/8-inch coaxial cable for wireless applications has a minimum bend radius of 3.5 inches and is suitable for continuous cable runs from the base station cabinet to the antenna as well as installation in difficult areas such as lift shafts, monopoles and collocated sites. The cable is 15 percent lighter than standard 7/8-inch cable products. When used as the main feeder line, it requires fewer connectors and no jumpers, lowering insertion loss and minimizing installation time.

Edge-mount SMA Connectors
These edge-mount surface-mount array (SMA) connectors fit on the end of a PC board and can be soldered directly to the board circuitry without drilling the boards. The connectors feature a compact base size that allows dense packaging (as close as 0.275" between centerlines). Constructed with stainless-steel bodies, Teflon“ and beryllium-copper contacts, the connectors are readily available to fit boards up to 0.62" thick, with units for thicker boards available on special order. All metal parts are gold plated to meet MIL-PRF-39012 requirements, and interface dimensions are per MIL-STD-348. Gold-plated brass bodies are also available for greater economy in commercial applications.

High Power Forced Air-cooled Loads
The Digital Air™ series forced air-cooled loads are optimized for UHF digital broadcast applications and offer low SWR of < 1.5 (typ) and < 1.1 (max) across the entire UHF DTV band of 470 to 890 MHz without any custom tuning. Other features include quiet operation, cool-to-the-touch exterior surfaces, ductable exhaust and the capability to handle high peak-to-average power ratios of > 10 dB (typ) of digital broadcast. Impedance is 50 W (nom). The models available are 50 W devices with continuous power ratings of 5, 10, 15 or 25 kW. Duplexer
The model PD5532 CDMA duplexer provides a 10 MHz window in the base transmit and base receive frequencies of the AMPS A-band cellular spectrum. Loss is < 1 dB, which maximizes sensitivity and effective radiated power. The unit employs two six-pole filters in a duplex configuration, two transmission zeroes in the transmit filter and a single transmission zero in the receive filter.

Ultra-low Profile Inductors
The LPT3305 series Power Wafer™ ultra-thin, high performance power inductors are designed for hand-held electronic devices, type-1 PC cards, disk drives and other low profile power applications. Eleven inductance values are available from 1 to 47 mH and saturation current ratings range up to 6 A, with RMS current ratings up to 1.6 A and low stray electromagnetic interference. 38 GHz Diplexer
This diplexer provides low insertion loss with high harmonic rejection and passbands that can be tuned in the range of 37 to 39.5 GHz, with a bandwidth of 640 MHz and a transmit-to-receive spacing of 1260 MHz. Harmonic rejection exceeds 40 dB and the operating temperature range is –30° to +70°C. Size: 4.13" x 1.27" in WR28 waveguide.

Dual Concentric Attenuator
The model 50DR-087 attenuator covers a frequency range of DC to 2000 MHz with an attenuation range of 0 to 110 dB in 1 dB steps. Attenuation accuracy is +/-0.5 dB (one percent) from DC to 500 MHz and +/-0.5 dB (three percent) from 500 to 2000 MHz. (Attenuation increases when knobs are rotated clockwise.) Two-stage Power Hybrid Line
The HIT™ (high impedance technology) two-stage power hybrid line provides power amplification for applications traditionally covered by power transistors. The HIT approach results in a 50 W drop-in gain block, saving design time and conserving space. The first two-stage parts are designed for PCS applications in the 1.9 to 2.0 GHz frequency range, and the 1 dB compression points of the two parts are 10 and 25 W. PIN Diode Switch
The model SWX-A14S PIN diode switch is designed for high reliability and commercial applications and features a surface-mount package measuring only 1.00" x 0.55" x 0.25". IP3 is +35 dBm. The switch operates at power levels up to +27 dBm over the 2.2 to 2.3 GHz frequency range and provides a minimum 45 dB isolation, insertion loss of 0.7 dB and rise time of 50 ns. Strain relief contacts assure reliable operation when mounted on an external PCB over the –30° to +125°C temperature range. Gain Equalizer
The model EARN2830K-01 gain equalizer minimizes the effects of loss slope, SWR ripple and overall system gain variation. The passive microwave equalizer operates over the 28 to 30 GHz frequency range and is available in either fixed or adjustable configurations. Integrated isolators, K connectors and six sections of adjustment are also featured, allowing the shaping of the unit’s loss characteristics to be complementary to either gain slope or ripple gain variation over the operating band.

14 - 14.5 GHz Drop-in Isolator
The model 1425IED drop-in isolator is designed to provide 23 dB isolation with low insertion loss of 0.4 dB over the frequency bandwidth of 14 to 14.5 GHz. Transceiver Harmonic Filter
The model 12086 filter is used to pass the C-band receiver frequencies of 3.7 to 4.2 GHz, with an insertion loss of 0.05 dB (typ) and 0.1 dB (max). The unit provides a minimum 50 dB rejection of the uplink frequencies of 5.9 to 6.4 GHz and an SWR of 1.1 across the entire passband. WR-229G flanges are standard, but other connectors are available. The filter is ideal in transceiver applications where isolation of the transmit and receive frequencies is critical.

Microstrip Isolators
These 13 to 14 GHz microstrip isolators feature polished ferrite with thin-film gold on copper and are suitable for regular tin-lead solder (for solderable softboard interface), gold wire or gold ribbon bonding for thin-film circuits.
