Anokiwave Inc., an innovative company providing highly integrated IC solutions for mmW markets and Active Antenna based solutions, today announced it has joined, as a voting member, the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS) whose goal is to advance emerging 5G networks.

ATIS is a forum where information and communications technology (ICT) companies convene to find solutions to their most pressing shared challenges. Through involvement in ATIS committees and forums, its members benefit from a comprehensive approach that takes into account technical, market and regulatory impact to help them achieve their business objectives. ATIS also gives its 150 members a strategic view of the future of technology in the industry through access to the insights of the CTOs of the leading ICT companies. This year, ATIS is focused on fast-tracking its work to develop detailed 5G specifications. ATIS is defining the industry requirements that will direct 5G's eventual technical capabilities and provide the basis for subsequent 5G standardization.

Anokiwave has released the world’s first Ka-band silicon quad core IC for 5G active antenna systems which is widely adopted by the 5G industry. Anokiwave’s patent-pending IP blocks implemented in silicon technology enable low-cost hybrid beam forming for multi-antenna arrays with high energy efficiency and system sensitivity.

“ATIS is taking a leadership role to ensure 5G is positioned to deliver the long-promised convergence into a common framework,” states Robert Donahue, Anokiwave CEO. “Anokiwave will leverage the thought leadership gained from our role in ATIS and continue to develop the most innovative ICs for our customers and the 5G market.”
