Würth Elektronik eiSos and the University of Valencia are working to establish a new Chair for Electromagnetic Compatibility. An agreement was signed by Dr. Esteban Morcillo Sánchez, Vice Chancellor of the University of Valencia, and Oliver Konz and Thomas Schrott, CEOs of Würth Elektronik eiSos.
The Chair is both for EMC basic research and for its practical application. Research work done in the laboratory of the Department of Electronic Engineering receives material support from Würth Elektronik eiSos. The company also offers internship and training units for the students.
The chair holder, Prof. José Torres Pais, will begin work in the coming winter term of 2015/2016 by offering courses, seminars and international conferences, and can assist with the preparation of final papers and dissertations. Steffen Mütsch and Jorge Victoria Ahuir, product managers for EMC components at Würth Elektronik eiSos, will be available as lecturers on topics related to practical applications.
