2.488 GHz SONET VCXOs
These subminiature surface-mount or through-hole voltage-controlled crystal oscillators (VCXO) are designed for synchronous optical network (SONET) applications and operate at 2.488 GHz, extending previous frequencies of 155.52 MHz for OC3, 622.084 MHz for OC2, and 311.04 MHz for EC applications. The VCXOs are packaged in ceramic with a grounded metal cover for electromagnetic interference suppression. The operating temperature ranges from –40° to +85°C and frequency tolerance is specified at +/-20 ppm. Jitter is rated at 10 ps (max) (5 ps (typ)) with rise and fall times of 750 ps (max). Deviation is +/-75 ppm (min). Size: 0.450 x 0.550 x 0150. Delivery: stock to two weeks for prototypes; four to six weeks for production quantities packaged in tape-and-reel tubes.

Frequency Doubler
The model F20VXS frequency doubler provides +8 dBm output from 4 to 12 GHz with an input of +19 dBm from 2 to 6 GHz. Typical fundamental isolation is 25 dB with a conversion loss of 10 dB. The frequency doublers can be provided in drop-in or hermetically sealed packages (which can be screened to MIL-STD-883 requirements).

High Frequency, Wide Temperature Range VCXO
The model DFV 14-MSW VCXO is available with a sine wave output from 16 to 160 MHz. Standard stabilities includes +/-15 ppm from 0° to 70°C and +/-30 ppm from –40° to +85°C. This unit offers a minimum +/-100 ppm pulling with 10 percent linearity. The 14-pin dip package measures 8.5 mm high. An encapsulated crystal guarantees good long-term performance.

2 - 18 GHz Digitally Tuned Oscillator
The model D6218 digitally tuned oscillator operates from 2 to 18 GHz and offers frequency settling to better than +/-1 MHz (typ) within 1 msec, an accuracy of +/-0.5 MHz at 25°C and a frequency drift of less than +/- 0.1 MHz/°C (max). RF power output is + 10 dBm (min) with a variation of less than +/- 2.5 dB, including the effects of frequency response and temperature. Phase noise at a 100 kHz offset is less than –65 dBc and residual FM at –3 dBc is 150 kHz peak to peak (max). Size: 6.48" x 6.23" x 2.00".

12.6 - 20 MHz Surface-mount TCXO
The model RTXO-113 surface-mount TCXO features a voltage-control option up to +/-18 ppm/V and a stability of +/-2.5 ppm over the –30° to +80°C operating temperature. In addition, frequency variations with aging are less than +/-1 ppm/year and stability with power source variation is better than +/-0.3 ppm for a +/-5 percent change in Vcc. The unit is powered by a single +3 V supply and features a current drain of 1.5 mA (max). The output voltage is a 1 V peak-to-peak clipped sine wave capable of driving a 10 kW load shunted by 10 pF. The TCXO is available in standard communication frequencies from 12.6 to 20 MHz. Phase noise characteristics are –135 dBc at a 10 kHz offset. Price: $6 each (10,000). Delivery: eight to 10 weeks (ARO).
