TEST EQUIPMENT

Compact Interference Generators
The models UCS500M/2 and UCS500M/4 compact interference generators offer full-compliance testing to six specifications for immunity, including IEC 1000-4-2, 4-4, 4-5, 4-8, 4-9 and 4-11. Testing is accomplished via technology that integrates waveforms using a built-in coupling/decoupling network. The UCS500M/2 and UCS500M/4 test to 2500 and 4400 V, respectively. Both units are available without electrostatic discharge testing capability. Size: 19.00" x 5.25" x 21.00".

GPIB-Programmable Bench-top Power Supplies
The models 1770, 1775 and 1780 bench-top programmable power supplies can be regulated via the IEEE488.1 general-purpose interface bus (GPIB) programming interface or the front-panel keypad. The three new power supplies feature a three-year warranty and a wide voltage range. The model 1780 offers dual output with voltage ranges of 0 to 18 V DC, DC current of 0 to 4 A and total power of 144 W. The model 1775 also offers dual output with voltage ranges from 0 to 35 V DC, DC current of 0 to 2 A and total power of 140 W. The model 1770 offers a voltage selection from 0 to 17.5 V DC or 0 to 35 V DC, DC current from 0 to 6 A or 0 to 3 A and total power of 105 W. All units provide 12-bit digital-to-analog converter accuracy. Prices: range from $950 to $1350.

Broadband Material Measurement Setup
The model M07T two-port 7 mm platform is designed to measure m and e of solid materials up to 20 GHz. The unit is furnished with a clam shell sample holder (to ensure good sample-conductor contact), calibration standards, loading aids and other accessories. The platform is available as a powder compactor and liquid cell. Instrument control of common analyzers and data processing is provided by the company's MU-EPSLN software package for materials characterization in several one- and two-port arrangements.

Low Current Matrix Switch
The model 7174A 8 x 12 low current switching card is designed for use in the company's model 707 six-slot switch system and model 708 single-slot switch system. The card is optimized for high performance switching of semiconductor I-V and C-V signals. The unit's space-saving design offers eight low current, high performance pathways and uses air as an insulator. Any pathway in the 8 x 12 array will settle to less than 0.4 pA in less than 2.5 s after a 10 V step is applied. Relay settling time is less than 1 ms. The card features a two-pole form A contact configuration and can switch a wide range of signals with signal capacities of 200 V and 2 A. Each channel has an offset current less than 10 fA (typ) with 0 V applied to inputs and outputs. Bandwidth at 3 dB is 30 MHz at 50 W load and source, and 40 MHz at 1 mW load and 50 W source. Price: $7995. Delivery: four weeks (ARO).
