Anritsu Co. announces its ME7873L RF/RRM Conformance Test System has achieved more than 80 percent of RF/RRM conformance test cases approval by the Global Certification Forum (GCF) related to LTE-Advanced TD-LTE Carrier Aggregation. The approval extends the leadership position of the ME7873L and provides mobile terminal and chipset manufacturers, test houses and mobile operators with a comprehensive test solution for verifying products implementing the TD-LTE technology.

Received in December 2014, the most recent GCF approval solidifies the position of the ME7873L as the most comprehensive conformance test system on the market. In January 2014, it became the first solution to achieve GCF certification approval for better than 80 percent of its FDD-LTE Carrier Aggregation test cases. Test systems must obtain GCF approval for at least 80 percent of test cases as a condition for terminal certification by GCF.

“China is deploying LTE-Advanced services using TD-LTE technology beginning this year and Japan and the U.S. are planning introduction of these services, as well. The GCF approval emphasizes our focus and commitment to obtaining GCF/PTCRB certifications to help bring next-generation mobile broadband systems to market as soon as possible,” said Bob Kersey, director of Wireless Testing Solutions for Anritsu Co.

The ME7873L is the leading RF conformance test system, with the most GCF/PTCRB Approved Test Cases in the industry. The test platform assures the compliance of LTE/LTE-Advanced terminal RF Tx and Rx characteristics and performance with the 3GPP standards. It supports the LTE/LTE-Advanced RF/RRM conformance tests and is being used for carrier acceptance inspection tests in North America, Asia, and Japan.
