Military Microwaves Supplement
Radar Return Simulator Assembly
The model 1663 radar return simulator assembly operates in Ku-band and is designed to provide a programmable phase and amplitude relationship between two channels for simulating radar return signals. The module interfaces with a waveguide manifold, which in turn interfaces with the waveguide ports of the radar system. The unit contains two inphase/quadrature vector modulators, five PIN diode switches, a PIN diode transfer switch, a high speed pulse modulator, two isolators, two couplers and a bandpass filter. The unit features better than 1° phase accuracy between channels, built-in test circuitry and an internal erasable programmable read-only memory correction table used to calibrate out system errors. Size: 5.3" x 3.5" x 0.7".

7-16 Calibration Kits
The 2750 series calibration kits provide all the necessary standards and adapters to calibrate network analyzers accurately for error-corrected measurements of devices equipped with 7-16 connectors. Selected materials provide long-term reliability and wear, and retracted threads allow low torque values to be used during calibration and test. Tight tolerance control is offered to reduce uncertainties associated with network analyzer calibration. Several configurations are available, including full kits that include both male and female standards, phase matched adapters and calibration constants on disk or tape; and single-sex kits with no software.

Wideband CDMA Test Solutions
The FSE series spectrum analyzers and SMIQ series signal generators manufactured by Rohde & Schwarz are designed for an extensive range of wideband code-division multiple access (CDMA) signal generation and analysis needs. The FSE series offers the range needed to make critical adjacent-channel power measurements for wideband CDMA equipment. The units offer greater than 70 dB adjacent-channel power dynamic range to easily meet measurement needs. The SMIQ series meets wideband CDMA requirements with its 4.096 Mchip symbol rate. Price: $29,995 for the FSE series and $27,950 for the SMIQ series. Delivery: seven weeks (ARO).
13-slot VXIbus Chassis
The model 1261BL versa module Eurocard extension for instrumentation bus (VXIbus) chassis provides up to 600 W of usable power to the VXIbus backplane. The unit is designed for benchtop applications and features new fans with reduced acoustic noise. Current and voltage monitoring is accessible through a convenient rear panel. The cooling design provides three cooling fans for the VXIbus modules to prevent damage to the modules in the event of fan failure. In addition, a fourth cooling fan is dedicated to the power supply. The unit’s pressurized air duct design and specially crafted slot blockers provide a large volume of cooling air to the VXIbus modules. Price: $3995 when purchased with three of the company’s VXI modules ($4195 without modules).
