ANADIGICS Inc., a world leader in radio frequency (RF) solutions, announced that the company is shipping production volumes of its AWL9281 front end integrated circuit (FEIC) to Huawei for the new Ascend Mate 7. With an expansive 6" display, 2.9 mm narrow bezel and 7.9 mm ultra-thin metal body, the Ascend Mate 7 is one of the most compact large-screen smartphones on the market. The Ascend Mate 7 also offers an oct-core processor, 13 megapixel camera and Android® 4.4 KitKat operating system.

“Huawei’s innovative smartphone designs, such as the advanced Ascend Mate 7, deliver an exceptional large-screen mobile experience,” said Jerry Miller, senior vice president of Worldwide Sales and Applications at ANADIGICS. “We are delighted by this latest win, which strengthens our long history of powering wireless connectivity in many of Huawei’s leading devices.”

ANADIGICS’ family of Wi-Fi FEICs leverages the company’s patented InGaP-Plus™ technology and uniquely designed architectures to combine a high performance power amplifier (PA), low-noise amplifier (LNA) with bypass option amd RF switch on a single die. This levle of integration greatly improves manufacturability and reliability, while reducing PCB space requirements. The AWL9281 FEIC provides outstanding error vector magnitude (EVM) and noise figure performance, enabling ultra-high data throughput. ANADIGICS’ AWL9281 also delivers exceptionally low current consumption, significantly extending battery-life in mobile applications.

ANADIGICS Wi-Fi FEIC Family Key Facts and Highlights:
