PE42542RFMW Ltd. announces design and sales support for two new Peregrine Semiconductor switches. Both the PE42542 and PE42543 are SP4T switches with operating bandwidth of 9 kHz to 18 GHz. Both switches are capable of handling 10 dBm of RF power at 9 kHz.

Peregrine's SOI technology offers enhanced robustness with an ESD rating of 3.5 kV HBM, 150 V MM and 500 V CDM on all pins of the PE42542. DC power consumption for both the PE42542 and PE42543 is 120-microamps from a 2.3 to 5.5 V supply, a fraction of competing GaAs switch requirements. Linearity of the PE42542 is specified at 58 dBm IIP3 and 118 dBm IIP2. With a switching time of 3 microseconds and fast settling time of 7 microseconds, gate lag in test-and-measurement equipment is virtually eliminated. For even faster switching requirements, the PE42543 boasts a switching time of 500 ns with settling time of 2 microseconds.

Both switches are offered in a RoHS compliant, 29-lead 4x4 mm LGA package.
