Nujira Ltd., the global Envelope Tracking (ET) chip company, has announced the appointment of Hugh Baker-Smith as vice president of sales, with a focus on driving sales of Nujira’s Coolteq.L ET IC to leading smartphone vendors. The strategic hire underlines Nujira’s focus on accelerating growth in Asia, driven by increased customer demand.

Baker-Smith has an extensive track record in global electronic sales and will be focused on building up the sales channel and field support networks, utilising his extensive experience in the global smartphone market to secure customers and drive revenue.

Baker-Smith has more than 20 years’ experience of direct sales, distribution and licensing for global electronics corporations including as VP Sales and Marketing for ELK Corporation, a leading supplier of touchscreens to mobile phone manufacturers. During his career to date he has been instrumental in driving international sales growth and establishing sales teams in China, Japan, Taiwan and Korea as well as in Europe and North America. Previously he was sales and marketing director for Pelikon Ltd., a world leader in the development and commercial application of pSEL technology.
