Internal defects in MLCC’s such as voids, cracks, de-laminations and electrode discontinuities can lead to short term or latent catastrophic failures. Typical MLCC electrical tests may not reveal these internal defects. Cost effective high speed automation eliminates operator error, ensuring extremely high detection accuracy and repeatability.
The primary benefit of 100 percent CSAM internal inspection is increased reliability, by screening out electrically undetectable internal defects such as voids, cracks, de-laminations or electrode dis-continuities.
