Terminations are attached to the top of the case and connections are welded close to the package leads, resulting in an improvement in high frequency electrical performance due to shorter connection lengths. The absence of the unit's bottom supporting plate provides the space necessary to allow aqueous wash to thoroughly drain during washing cycles. Leads are solder plated for good solderability. Tape-and-reel packaging is available.
