M/A-COM Technology Solutions Inc. (“MACOM”), a leading supplier of high performance RF, microwave, and millimeter wave products announced a family of eight new baluns for CATV MoCA applications. The devices are available as surface mount and are ideal for real estate constrained customers. Boasting excellent temperature stability and broadband performance, these devices are lead free and RoHS compliant.
“This family has been designed specifically for customers requiring a high performing transformer balun for wired broadband applications” said Graham Board, Product Manager, Networks. “The family enables customers to design a broad range of applications of different frequency ranges using a diverse range of impedances. These baluns offer high current handling in a small outline package with less than 3.8 x 3.8 mm in size on average.”
These baluns are available on Tape and Reel and can be assembled using surface mount capability. They are all RoHS compliant, lead-free and compatible with a 260 °C reflow temperature profile. Excellent temperature stability is a strong feature of these baluns and most can be used in either 75 ? or 50 ? systems.
