ARC Technologies will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new advanced manufacturing facility in Amesbury, MA on June 18, 2014.
Government officials and business partners will join the opening celebration and tour the manufacturing operations. Invited participants include federal, state and local elected officials: Senator Warren, Senator Markey, Congressman Tierney, Senator O'Connor Ives, Representative Costello, Mayor Gray, the Amesbury City Council, and the Amesbury Chamber of Commerce Board Members.
Melissa Crasuolo, Executive Director of the Amesbury Chamber of Commerce will welcome the participants. The event is part of the monthly business tour series sponsored by the Amesbury Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber’s tours are designed to bring elected officials and the business community together to learn about various local industries, their challenges and successes.
ARC Technologies has a long history of success in the local community and the microwave industry. The company was founded in 1989 in Amesbury, MA to service the conductive and microwave materials markets, specializing in custom engineered products and solutions. ARC's strategy is focused on providing rapid response to customer needs, offering high quality products and cost effective solutions for a wide variety of applications. As a result, ARC has won a loyal customer base within the aerospace, defense electronics, commercial microwave, computer network, and communications industries.
ARC has experienced steady growth over the past 10 years, expanding from its 50,000 sq. ft. Chestnut St. facility into two adjacent buildings, to nearly 150,000 sq. feet of space. With the recent addition to the Hunt Road facility, ARC will have nearly 200,000 sq. ft. of space in three facilities. ARC will be departing from the Chestnut Street facility this year. ARC employs over 120 people and anticipates continued growth in the coming years.
Jeff Berger, Director of Business Development at ARC Technologies, commented, “We are very excited to be relocating most of our operations to Hunt Road. While the mill buildings have served us well, the modern facility will allow us to improve communications, simplify product flow and improve overall efficiency. We expect to have the move completed and have all operations running by July of this year.”
