Norden has introduced a 10.7 to 12.75 GHz down converter with an IF Band 1 frequency of 950 to 1950 MHz and IF Band 2 frequency of 950 to 2000 MHz. The LO Band 1 frequency is 975 MHz and LO Band 2 frequency is 1075 MHz with an external reference frequency of 10 MHz. It has a noise figure of 0.9 dB maximum and P1dB compression point of 13 dBm. Gain is 60 to 70 dB with a flatness of ±2 dB over the full bandwidth. Third order intercept is -110 dBm and image rejection is -75 dBc. Output VSWR is 1.6:1 and input VSWR is 2:1.

Norden Millimeter has extensive experience in design and manufacturing of frequency converter and custom assemblies products for both the military and commercial markets. They understand that the vast majority of requirements for these types of products involve custom design and packaging per individual customer specifications.

Norden military converters and custom assemblies are used in airborne, shipboard and ground mobile platforms. Military applications include avionics, electronic warfare (including ECM, ESM, ELINT, SIGINT), radar applications, radar environment simulation systems and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) systems. Norden’s commercial converters and custom assemblies are used in microwave communications, astronomy and test equipment.

With experience from VHF to W-Band and in analog, mixed signal and digital technologies, Norden has a wide portfolio of circuit modules, configurations and functionality to meet many different platform needs. Norden utilizes custom building blocks and mixed media construction techniques to meet the most challenging performance and size constraints on the market today.
