Ultra-Low Jitter Clock Source
APA’s “Gigabit Series” of programmable clock sources have ultra-low jitter (<30 fsec at 2 GHz, 12 KHz ~ 20 MHz) in a package smaller than your thumb and only 2.9 mm high. Features include low noise (<-165 dBc/Hz) at 10 MHz from the carrier, harmonic filtering and three or more discrete frequencies anywhere in the 100 MHz to 3 GHz range. The outputs can be sine or digital (LVDS, LVPECL, CML, etc.), fully characterized over the industrial temperature range.

JQL Electronics Inc. introduced a low PIM surface mount circulator for LTE application. The new surface mount circulator has a compact package with low PIM at -85 dBc. The high power isolator version is also available. JQL offers the low PIM solution to the wireless industry.
The Anatech Electronics AE225-400VT100 connectorized voltage-tuned filter has a center frequency of 225 to 400 MHz variable via a DC voltage. The unit includes an amplifier that boosts the signal by +19 dB for increased receiver sensitivity. It has a 3 dB bandwidth of 5 percent, analog tuning speed of 200 ns or faster, 70 dB on/off isolation, and -50 dBc spurious rejection. QuinStar Technology Inc.

High Performance Doublers
Traditional doublers are limited to octave frequency bands, but Marki Microwave’s new microlithic doublers offer high efficiency over multi-octave bandwidths. Additionally, they have superior suppression of fundamental and third harmonic outputs, significantly relaxing filtering requirements. Mini-Circuits’ CMA-162LN+ is a E-PHEMT based ultra-low noise MMIC amplifier with a unique combination of low noise and high IP3 making this amplifier ideal for sensitive high dynamic range receiver applications. This design operates on a single 4 V supply. The MMIC amplifier is bonded to a multilayer integrated LTCC substrate and then hermetically sealed under a controlled nitrogen atmosphere with gold-plated covers and eutectic AuSn solder. These amplifiers have been tested to MIL requirements for gross leak, fine leak, thermal shock, vibration, acceleration, mechanical shock and HTOL.
SPDT RF Switch
JSW2-63DR+ is a medium-power reflective SPDT RF switch, with reflective short on output ports in the OFF state. Made using a silicon-on-insulator process, it provides very high IP3 (55 dBm typ.). This switch also has a built-in CMOS driver and negative voltage generator, all packaged in a tiny 2 × 2 mm package, enabling it to operate over wideband and fit into tight spaces.
Mini-Circuits’ TCM2-33WX+ is a 50 Ω surface mount RF transformer. It features wide bandwidth 10 to 3000 MHz, balanced transmission line and excellent return loss. It is aqueous washable. Patent pending. It is ideal for applications such as PCS, wideband push-pull amplifiers and cellular.
Mini-Circuits’ RCDAT-6000-90 is a general purpose programmable RF attenuator supporting frequencies from 1 to 6000 MHz with attenuation from 0 to 90 dB in 0.25 dB steps. Its unique design maintains linear attenuation change per dB, even at the highest attenuation settings. The attenuator is controlled via USB or Ethernet-TCP/IP connections and supports both HTTP and Telnet network protocols. It comes housed in a compact, shielded metal case with SMA(F) input and output ports, a standard Ethernet port, and a USB type Mini-B power and control port. Mini-Circuits’ RC-1SP4T-A18 is a general purpose RF switch matrix controlled via either USB or Ethernet-TCP/IP (supports HTTP and Telnet protocols). The model contains an electromechanical SP4T, absorptive fail-safe RF switch constructed in break-before-make configuration and powered by +24 V DC with switching time of 25 ms typical. Temperature Compensating Attenuators
Aeroflex/Inmet introduced the TCAF-X-N05 series of temperature compensated chip attenuators. Operating DC to 12.4 GHz and capable of 2 W average power, these surface mount attenuators are used in place of standard chip attenuators to combine level setting or buffering functionality with negative temperature compensation without the need for bias or control voltages. Aeroflex / Metelics’ new 4 nonlinear-transmission-line (NLTL) GaAs comb generators offers superior phase noise performance up to -18 dBc/Hz better than an SRD, usable harmonics out to 50 GHz and it is available in SMT or connectorized packages. Applications for these devices include radar and surveillance receivers and feature 10 to 18 dBc/Hz lower phase noise than Si step recovery diode (SRD) comb generators. They offer phase noise as low as -135 dBc/Hz at 100 Hz offset from the 12 GHz harmonic.
