The e2v Group has announced that, as part of a merger of its current operations and an expansion of resources and capabilities focusing on the North American market, it has merged its North American operations into e2v inc., headquartered in Milpitas, California.

This organisation brings together the current structures of e2v aerospace and defence, based in Milpitas, California and e2v inc, based in Tarrytown, New York, and will encompass the company’s North American based RF power, high performance imaging, and high reliability semiconductor business units, providing products and services for six major market segments: civil aerospace, defence, space, industrial, medical & science and security and rescue.

This structure will better position e2v to support its customers with increased North American based technical expertise, program and division management, alongside US based manufacturing and access to e2v’s global facilities and engineering resources.

e2v has a strong legacy and heritage in North America. This approach represents e2v’s continued investment in the region and unwavering commitment to customers. e2v inc will be expanding its product and capability offerings and investing in new equipment and facilities, as well as increasing headcount by 20 percent this year to better serve e2v’s growing customer community, with emphasis on US manufacturing capacity, engineering resource, customer service, sales support, and assembly and test activities.

Robert Brevelle, who is currently President of e2v aerospace and defence, will continue as President of the merged business, e2v inc.
