As the terrorist activities becoming rampant in recent years, security inspection in airports, railway stations, stadiums and government offices draws much attention. The flourish in inspection and surveillance technology greatly promotes the development of surveillance equipments. In this report, firstly, traditional and up-to-date approaches in human body surveillance are introduced. As a representative, the recent research progresses and core technologies in millimeter-wave human body imaging systems are dwelled. Perspectives and proposals of the future human body surveillance are also given at the end of the report.

Feng Keming was born in 1966. He received his Bachelor’s degree in 1987 and Master’s degree in 1990 from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, respectively. Now he is the General Director of Beijing Institute of Radio Metrology and Measurement. His major research interests and experience include microwave measurement, frequency synthesizer and atomic clock.
