Peregrine appoints Link Microtek as UK and Ireland representative

Link Microtek, the Basingstoke, UK based supplier of microwave and RF components and subsystems, has been appointed as a UK and Ireland representative for Peregrine Semiconductor Corp. founder of RF silicon on insulator (SOI) and pioneer of advanced RF solutions.

Stuart Hendry, Link Microtek’s Sales Director, commented: “The agreement with Peregrine is an exciting development as it will give customers access to the latest RF SOI technology. With an industry-leading combination of performance and monolithic integration, this will allow us to target a broad range of applications in the aerospace and defence, broadband, industrial, mobile wireless device, test and measurement equipment, and wireless infrastructure markets.”

Peregrine’s UltraCMOS®technology provides major advances in speed and power, enabling the integration of high-performance RF, mixed-signal, passive elements, non-volatile memory and digital functions on a single device. The company offers a wide range of standard ICs, including products such as RF switches, digital step attenuators, prescalers, PLL frequency synthesisers, phase shifters and RF tuning products, together with custom solutions tailored to the requirements of individual applications.

Colin Hunt, Peregrine’s EMEA Sales Director, said: “Peregrine is delighted to be working in partnership with Link Microtek in the UK and Ireland because the company’s sales people have a strong engineering background, they know the market, and they will be able to support us with new designs.”
