Skyworks Solutions, Inc. unveils a highly integrated, 5 GHz front-end module for wireless connectivity, Bluetooth® and mobile applications that exceeds 802.11n system requirements.  The SKY65535-11 integrates a power amplifier, a low noise amplifier with bypass, and a single-pole-double-throw, transmit/receive switch in a 16-pin, 2.5 x 2.5 mm, quad-flat-no-lead package.

Because the solution provides a direct connection to the battery with a 3.6 V nominal supply voltage that removes the need for regulators and associated components, the module reduces the overall bill of material costs and space requirements on the circuit board.  Further features include an enable/disable function that enables power savings during off mode, and an integrated power detector with 20 dB of dynamic range that delivers closed-loop power control within the system.
