Array Wireless Inc., a technology leader in the creation of efficient, high linearity microwave power amplifiers, announced a major financial investment in the company by Loma Vista Wireless Inc., and the addition of a seasoned management team to spur new growth initiatives. In addition to a cash infusion for new product initiatives, the company is expanding its facility size and hiring staff to accommodate increased design and production capacity. Array Wireless is also launching new sales and marketing initiatives to address growing interest in the company’s products for use in the public safety, military, unmanned aerial and ground vehicles, and broadcast and communication markets.
“This investment affirms Array Wireless’ proven superior linearization technology for use in mobile high speed video and data wireless communications systems,” stated Cliff Cooke, newly appointed president and chief executive officer at Array Wireless. “Array Wireless is a company known for innovative technology, excellence in product performance and reliability, and a philosophy of customer-centricity to drive product development. We look forward to energizing Array Wireless with new capabilities and expanding product lines to keep pace with customer demand and emerging market opportunities.”
Loma Vista Wireless Inc. is a group specializing in the investment and acquisition of innovative technologies and companies in the satellite communications and electronic markets. Loma Vista has invested cash and acquired the assets of Array Wireless. The company will continue to operate as Array Wireless.
Array Wireless was founded in 2003 by Edward Takacs, former co-founder and partner of Aethercomm, Inc., to create and manufacture more efficient and linear microwave power amplifiers for mobile high speed video and wireless data communications systems. Takacs continues with the company as chief technology officer, driving technology and product innovations, and spearheading product line expansions based on new and expanding market requirements.
Cooke joins Array Wireless with members of a management team who were formerly instrumental in successfully leading double digit growth at Wavestream Corporation, a manufacturer of solid state power amplifiers for satellite communications. In addition to Cooke, the management team includes Mike Mollin as chief financial officer and Colin Hirayama as chief product officer.
