948D Series Designed for Larger Inverter Systems
Richardson RFPD, Inc. announces availability and full design support capabilities for a new lineof high energy density DC link capacitors from Cornell Dubilier.
The 948D Seriesuses a fused, segmented metallization pattern, offering greater open circuit protection, increased reliability, and superior control of capacitance loss than competitive types. The new capacitors are ideally-suited for DC link applications where high bus voltage, high capacitance, and high ripple current are required for smoothing and filtering, including larger inverter systems like wind and solar energy, fuel cell, and traction applications.
Key features of the 948D Seriesinclude:
- DC link in a rectangular package; approximate 6.5-inch cube
- High capacitance: 990 to 2700 μF
- 800-1300 Vdc
- Ripple current up to 160A rms
- Robust mounting flanges
- 200,000 hour life expectancy
- Heavy duty M10 threaded studs for robust mechanical connection
