Using Calibration to Optimize Performance in Crucial Measurements
Molex Inc. recently launched an online RF Assembly Builder for distributors, customers and prospective customers. Available now at www.molex.com/molex/family/RF_Configurator.jsp, the free configurator tool simplifies the design process and allows the user to build a complete assembly and instantly submit an RFQ, without downloading any application or software.
“The RF Assembly Builder provides customers with immediate access to our broad range of RF connector-cable products and a powerful tool to expedite the design process,” states Roger Kauffman, marketing manager, Molex. “Users can quickly receive expert technical recommendations, drawings and a quote based on their unique application specifications.”
The RF Assembly Builder features step-by-step prompts for designing Molex RF cable assemblies. Users specify connectors, cables, options, preferred delivery and any special application instructions. The RF Assembly Builder also allows the user to specify cable or connector styles not shown in the standard selection. The configuration is forwarded immediately to a Molex sales engineer for confirmation and a confidential quote. If a user configures a cable assembly that is a close match to one already available, Molex will coordinate the quotation with the stocking distributor.
“From custom to high-volume solutions, we strive to provide total support at every phase of the product life cycle. The interactive RF Assembly Builder saves design time and helps ensure the right assembly to meet the packaging, electrical and mechanical performance requirements of even the most challenging industry applications,” adds Kauffman.
A global leader in RF/microwave cable assembly technologies for military, automotive, medical, instrumentation, telecom, wireless and other industries, Molex offers standard and custom connectors and cables, including multi-port, IP-rated and sealed RF products, solderless PCB attachments, non-magnetic connectors, and a broad range of cable assemblies and unique adapters, all available in 50 or 75 Ohm impedance.
Molex will demonstrate the new configurator at the IEEE International Microwave Symposium, booth 719,June 2-7, 2013, Seattle WA.
