CTS Electronic Components Inc. announces development of Model 144, an oven controlled crystal oscillators (OCXOs), which uses the unique internal heated resonator (IHR) technologies to significantly reduce power consumption while maintaining excellent performance.
Model 144 is an ultra-low power miniature low profile OCXO. The oscillator uses a unique heating technology allowing optimal performance at an extremely low 0.15W. The device’s SC cut crystal is housed inside a TO-8 vacuum package and is DIL-14 compatible, thus, radically reducing its weight, power consumption, and warm-up time (30 seconds). In addition, the part is highly stable (±5ppb over -30 ºC to +70 ºC) and it has exceptional performance with phase noise as low as -170dBc/Hz floor at 100MHz. The part offers a wide frequency range from 8MHz to 120MHz. The Model 144 is ideal for portable wireless communications, mobile test equipment, synthesizers, and battery powered applications.
