Richardson RFPD introduces evaluation kit for industry's smallest 5 W GaN MMIC PA

Richardson RFPD Inc. announces immediate availability and full design support capabilities for a new evaluation kit for a 5W GaN MMIC power amplifier from Nitronex.

The NPA1003QA-EVK evaluation kit includes:

  • Test fixture tuned for 20 to 1000 MHz broadband performance
  • Two (2) device loose samples
  • USB memory stick containing the NPA1003 datasheet, test data, and full drawings and documentation

The evaluation board arrives ready for testing. It is a full, 50-ohm circuit, with input and output connectors, and DC supplies for both drain and gain voltage. The unit may be immediately connected to any network analyzer to test small signal gain, or to any power measurement system.

The NPA1003 5 W GaN MMIC PA is optimized for broadband operation from DC to 1500 ­MHz, offers an integrated 50 Ω I/O match, in a small, 4 mm x 4 mm QFN package. It is ideally-suited for avionics and L-band radar applications, as well as for applications in the communications bands under 1 GHz.
