Teseq's new double-ridged horn antenna reaches 18 GHz
Teseq Inc., a leading developer and provider of instrumentation and systems for EMC emission and immunity testing, now offers a double-ridged horn antenna that has a frequency range of 6 to 18 GHz. The new PMM DR-01 is designed for radiated emissions and immunity applications, featuring an antenna factor of 36 dB/m to 41 dB/m and excellent sensitivity for emissions measurements.
The PMM DR-01 is ideal for use with Teseq’s PMM 9180 high-performance digital EMC/EMI receiver because of its size and axially located RF connector. The uniquely designed, battery-powered PMM 9180 is the only fully-compliant EMI receiver module on the market directly connected to an antenna located inside the testing chamber. It has the ability to transmit data outside the testing chamber via fiber optic cable, eliminating signal losses that can exceed 20 dB.
When installed on a tripod or mast with the PMM 9180 and connected to PMM receiver via a fiber optic cable, the PMM DR-01 increases system sensitivity, accuracy and reduces overall error by eliminating sources of uncertainty and signal loss through scattering and attenuation of the coaxial cable. A tripod adapter allows for simple vertical and horizontal polarization changes.
The robust, corrosion-resistant PMM DR-01 features individual calibration and has a nominal impedance range of 50 ohms. Maximum power input is 150 W. The PMM DR-01 measures approximately 2.2” x 1.7” x 5.4” and weighs only a half-pound.
Teseq is the exclusive North American distributor for PMM, a brand of Narda Safety Test Solutions srl, which manufactures the PMM DR-01.
