Azimuth Systems Inc., a provider of automated, real-world mobile performance test solutions, introduced new Device Performance Test Plans. Designed for all phases of device development, including interoperability testing, and pre and post launch testing, Azimuth test plans offer a proven method for operators and OEMs to maximize the ROI from test tools. With these new capabilities, Azimuth continues the market-focused evolution of its integrated, end-to-end mobile performance test platform, giving customers the benefit of the only organically developed, integrated suite of test solutions capable of addressing the complete life cycle, from R&D to post-launch. Azimuth will be exhibiting its latest test solutions at Mobile World Congress from February 25-28 in Barcelona in Hall 7, Stand 7I90.

Azimuth Device Performance Test Plans leverage the company’s best-of-breed solutions, including the award-winning Field-to-Lab™ (FTL) real world wireless test solution, as well as its Device Automation & Control (DAC) automation, to provide end-to-end test capability. Test cases are developed in concert with leading operators and OEMs and focus on automating delivery of key benchmarks in real world environments. Integration with FTL enables users to test devices in a variety of real world conditions that reflect the actual performance experienced by subscribers during daily use of their devices. DAC enables automated device test for repeatable, reliable test execution, which can be expanded to include end-user and application-specific key performance indicators (KPIs).

Azimuth Device Performance Test Plans are designed to focus on challenging radio environments where performance is difficult to predict. The test plans stress devices and reveal performance limitations before they are deployed to end users, helping customers identify problems earlier in the development and deployment life cycle.  Research has shown that problems discovered late in the deployment cycle lead to higher return, repair and exchange costs; addressing this problem can deliver a high ROI.

“Azimuth Device Performance Test Plans offer our customers a turn-key method to consistently manage and deliver repeatable, reliable testing,” said Vivek Vadakkuppattu, senior global test plan manager at Azimuth Systems.  “Today, Azimuth test plans are being deployed worldwide by leading operators and OEMs. These test plans have been organically developed and leverage both the FTL and DAC solutions to offer our customers tremendous ROI. “

Azimuth will be showcasing its new Device Performance Test Plans in Hall 7, Stand 7190 at the upcoming 2013 Mobile World Congress show taking place from February 25-28, 2013 in Barcelona, Spain. Contact Azimuth today to schedule a meeting!
