AR Modular RF has received a large order from the U.S. Navy for its KMW1031KT 20-watt, 30-512 MHz booster amplifier kit. The portable, lightweight, fully-automatic band-switching RF booster amplifier kit is fully compatible with legacy and newly emerging signal waveforms.
Designed for use with nearly all modern single and multi-band VHF/UHF tactical radio equipment, the kit includes the popular KMW1031 booster amplifier, the amplifier pouch, a 30-512 MHz LOS antenna and antenna holder, along with a radio, battery, and antenna cables. All the components together weigh just 2.5 lbs., making the KMW1031KT the lightest tactical kit on the market. The unit is unique in that it can be powered from a single XX90 or similar batteries; or from 12 and 24 VDC vehicle power and still maintain the RF output at 20W or more.
The KMW1031KT is included in AR Modular RF's GSA contract schedule. It can also be ordered through the TLS (DLA Special Operational Equipment Tailored Logistics Support Program) contract system.
