Recognised as a leading supplier in the area of high frequency and microwave systems used for both radar and data link applications, Saab has received an order in the region of €12.8 million for data links.

“Saab has delivered robust data link solutions for more than 25 years and offers data links in a wide range of applications,” said Micael Johansson, head of Saab’s business area Electronic Defence Systems.

The company’s data links support frequency bands from VHF and upwards. Tailored solutions are provided for both ground based and airborne systems including radar integrated data links and lightweight terminals.

Deliveries for this multi-million Euro order will be made from the business area Electronic Defence Systems in Gothenburg from 2014 to 2018. The nature of the defence and security industry is such that information regarding customers and products is sometimes subject to confidentiality agreements between Saab and its customers, and for this reason no further information about this specific order can be divulged.
