Using Calibration to Optimize Performance in Crucial Measurements
The French National RFID Centre (CNRFID), the national organization dedicated to RFID solutions deployment, and NRFLab, a company specialized in testing active and passive RF components, announced their collaboration and ability to offer neutral testingof ultra-high frequency (UHF) radio frequency identification (RFID) tags and early comparisons of different EPC tag-compliant options.
As a result of the collaboration, RFID UHF solutions developers can access CNRFID’s expertise and network, and use NRFLab’s UHF RFID test platformto compare and choose the best solutions for their applications before further development or production. CNRFID offers RFID providers, users, integrators, and laboratories an independent resource and a dedicated environment for their specific RF testing needs. NRFLab provides an Electronic Product Code (EPC) Class 1 generation 2 RFID tag-compliant, test platform for UHF RFID tags.
“In the world of RFID tags and readers, each provider developed their own test to promote their product. Having an independent and fixed environment to compare products according to criteria adapted to the final application of the product is a key aspect of today’s RFID competitive solutions,” said Claude Tetelin, Chief Technical Officer of CNRFID. With its new test platform, NRFLab will become a key player in the field of UHF RFID test providers.”
“Our goal is to offer the best options for RFID tests,” addedMyriam Massei, NRFLab president. “Our collaboration with CNRFID means we can deliver confidential, quick, independent measurements to RFID users and providers so they can pick the options that improve performance and meet the demands of this highly competitive market.”
