Horizon House Publications, a leading event organizer and publisher of technical trade periodicals for the RF, microwave and telecommunications industries, has announced an agreement with Interference Technology to solicit and promote EMC/EMI related content for the Electronic Design Innovation Conference (EDI CON 2013) in Beijing, China, in March 2013.
EDI CON is an annual technical conference and exhibition providing design engineers and system integrators with the opportunity to learn about the latest RF, microwave and high speed digital products and technologies for today's communications, computing, RFID, industrial wireless monitoring, navigation, aerospace and related markets. Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) is a critical requirement for the electrical and electronic products serving these markets. Many companies offering design and test solutions for RF and microwave applications also provide extensive electromagnetic interference (EMI) test capabilities necessary for design, prototyping, manufacturing and deployment.
The conference program, which is being developed in partnership with industry and local academia, will feature the latest design techniques and technologies, workshops for advanced professional education and product training. With support from Interference Technology's readers, contributors and advertisers, EMC/EMI topics will also be incorporated into the technical program. EDI CON is a learning opportunity for working engineers developing new products using commercial tools for design, modeling, simulation, test verification and system integration. By incorporating workshops and presentations on EMC/EMI fundamentals and state of the art test solutions, EDI CON organizers will address the cross-discipline needs of today's electronic design.
With its focus on applications, emerging technologies and practical engineering solutions, EDI CON will bring together designers at the forefront of innovation in China and the world's leading multi-national technology companies. Exhibiting companies represent RF, microwave and high speed technologies in the areas of EDA software, semiconductors, passive components, systems and test/measurement solutions.
"As government regulations around the world require full compliance testing and in-field monitoring, China has become an even more important market for Interference Technology and its contributors," Paul Salotto, publisher of Interference Technology, said. "By including EMC/EMI solutions in the technical program and exhibition, Interference Technology will be able to help broaden the scope of EDI CON and enhance the practical, hands-on nature of this industry-driven event."
