SatelliteRedundancyControllerAtlanTecRF introduces the new SRU-1000 satellite communications 1:1 redundancy controller that provides a compact and comprehensive method of monitoring and controlling redundancy switching of transmit and receive chain units.

The 19” x 1U rack mount unit is designed to perform a variety of functions in status monitoring and redundancy switching and can easily be configured for specific equipment regimes using up to three units within two transmit chains as well as receive chain units.

Changeover switching can operate in either manual or automatic modes and the compact rack unit also contains all components needed for the alarm monitoring and switch control.

Dual redundant power supplies are employed with diode sharing for switch control and through dual internal regulators for the LNA/LNBs. Front panel indicators provide status and their outputs ‘crowbar’ on overload.

The SRU-1000 will, upon either automatic or manual request, drive external changeover switches which can be either waveguide or coaxial to achieve the desired equipment status of either live or standby.
