High Frequency Miniature Cavity Filters

NIC_100NIC’s miniature cavity filter products are designed for use in airborne, ship mount or vehicle mount applications in harsh military environments. They can be custom designed for any center frequencies varying from 3 to 18 GHz, and 3 dB bandwidth from 5 to 30%.

Features of these filters include:

  • Hermetically sealed package
  • Gull wing surface mount. RF pins or field replaceable SMA connectors
  • Low insertion loss, high selectivity and wide bandwidth
  • Up to 80% reduction in weight and volume compared to standard combline filters
  • Good ultimate rejection upto 2.5 times the C.F

An example is a surface mount X band Cavity filter with the following specifications:

  • Center Frequency: 10 GHz
  • 3dB Bandwidth: 1800 MHz
  • Insertion loss: 1.5dB max
  • Stopband Attenuation: 8 pole Chebychev response
  • Ultimate Rejection: 70dB min upto 26.5 GHz
  • Gull wing configuration surface mount Package
  • Hermetic Seal: Pass gross leak test
  • Package Size: 1.38 x 0.56 x 0.29 inches
