GaAs MMIC Mixer Die HMC773
New GaAs MMIC mixer die covers up/downconversion applications from 6 - 26 GHz. Wide IF bandwidth mixer chip is ideal for microwave radio, VSAT, test and sensors.
Hittite Microwave Corporation, the world class supplier of complete MMIC based solutions for communication & military markets, has introduced a new passive GaAs MMIC Fundamental Mixer die, the HMC773, which will allow designers to address applications from 6 to 26 GHz. The HMC773 die is ideal for microwave radio, VSAT, military and space applications, test equipment and sensors.
The HMC773 is a passive, general purpose double balanced mixer chip that can be used as an upconverter or downconverter between 6 and 26 GHz. This mixer requires no external components or matching circuitry and exhibits up to +22 dBm input IP3, and a wide IF bandwidth spanning DC to 10 GHz. Due to optimized balun structures, the HMC773 provides excellent LO to RF and LO to IF isolation up to 38 dB. Typical conversion loss is only 9 dB. This wideband mixer operates with LO drive levels of +13 dBm, and exhibits consistent conversion loss and compression across its entire operating bandwidth.
The HMC773 die samples are available from stock and can be ordered on-line. The HMC773 is also available in SMT format as the HMC773LC3B.
