Mimix Asia launches DC to 18 GHz GaAs MMIC 5-Bit packaged digital attenuator. QFN packaged device delivers 28 dB attenuation range and +24 dBm P1dB.

October 15, 2009, Hsinchu, Taiwan - Mimix Asia, a supplier of monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMICs) for microwave and millimeter-wave applications, introduces today a DC to 18 GHz GaAs MMIC attenuator in a 4x4mm QFN package. This attenuator, identified as XA1000-QH, is digitally controlled with 5-bit operation and a least significant bit (LSB) of 0.9 dB. The XA1000-QH delivers 28 dB attenuation range and +24 dBm P1dB input compression, and it is well suited for instrumentation, microwave point-to-point radio, satellite communications and military radar.

"The XA1000-QH provides excellent broadband performance with low phase variance and fast switching speed," says Paul Beasly, Business Development Manager, Mimix Asia. "The DC to 18 GHz performance makes it ideally suited to broadband applications such as EW systems and instrumentation."

Mimix performs 100% RF testing on the XA1000-QH and samples are available today from stock. The datasheet, additional product information and technical support can be obtained from the Mimix Asia website at www.mimixasia.com.
