New SMT Mixer Targets 6 to 26 GHz Up/Downconversion Applications. Wide IF Bandwidth is ideal for Microwave Radio, Military & Space, VSAT & Test.

Chelmsford, MA, 9/10/09 – Hittite Microwave Corporation, the world class supplier of complete MMIC based solutions for communication & military markets, has introduced a new passive, GaAs MMIC Fundamental Mixer which is ideal for upconversion and downconversion applications in microwave radio, VSAT, military & space, test equipment and sensor applications from 6 to 26 GHz.

The HMC773LC3B is a passive GaAs MMIC general purpose mixer which is rated from 6 to 26 GHz. This mixer requires no external components or matching circuitry and exhibits up to +22 dBm input IP3, and a wide IF bandwidth spanning DC to 8 GHz. Due to optimized balun structures, the HMC773LC3B provides excellent LO to RF and LO to IF suppression up to 38 dB, and typical conversion loss of only 9 dB. Operating with LO drive levels of +13 dBm, this mixer requires no DC bias voltage, and exhibits consistent conversion loss and compression across its entire operating bandwidth.

The HMC773LC3B is housed in a compact RoHS compliant leadless 3x3 mm ceramic SMT package and is ideal for a wide range of general purpose applications spanning 6 to 26 GHz. The HMC773LC3B is also available in die format as the HMC773.

Samples and evaluation PC boards for all SMT packaged products are available from stock and can be ordered via the company's e-commerce site or via direct purchase order.
