Mimix Broadband, Inc. Introduces 34 to 37 GHz GaAs MMIC Power Amplifier. Delivering 6W Saturated Output Power. Device Achieves 22 dB Gain and 24% Power Added Efficiency.

February 26, 2009, Houston, Texas – Mimix Broadband, Inc. introduces today a GaAs MMIC high power amplifier (HPA) with +37 dBm pulsed saturated output power and 22 dB large signal gain. This HPA, identified as XP1073-BD, covers 34 to 37 GHz and achieves 24% power added efficiency (PAE). The device is well suited for millimeter-wave military, radar, satellite and weather applications.

"The XP1073-BD is a balanced high power amplifier, and with saturated output power of nearly 6 Watts, it rises well above anything available in the marketplace today,” stated Jeff Kovitz, Product Manager, Mimix Broadband, Inc. “By balancing two of our popular XP1072-BD devices using a fairly unique Lange coupler network, the XP1073-BD provides the end user with a well matched HPA solution for many Ka-Band applications.”

Mimix performs 100% RF testing on the XP1073-BD. Samples and production quantities are available in eight weeks. Technical support is also available from Mimix’s applications engineers at 281.988.4600. The datasheet and additional product information can be obtained from the Mimix Broadband website.
