Mimix Broadband, Inc. introduces 17 to 34 GHz highly integrated, QFN packaged up-converter. XU1010-QH delivers broadband +23 dBm IIP3 and 10 dB conversion loss.

August 25, 2008, Houston, Texas - Mimix Broadband, Inc. introduces today a 17 to 34 GHz GaAs pHEMT SMT packaged up-converter that integrates a linear, balanced resistive pHEMT mixer, LO buffer amplifier and LO doubler within a fully molded 4x4mm QFN package. This RoHS-compliant, packaged up-converter has an input third order intercept point (IIP3) of +23 dBm, a conversion loss of 10 dB and an LO drive level of +2 dBm. The device includes on-chip ESD protection structures and DC by-pass capacitors to ease the implementation and volume assembly of this device. The XU1010-QH is well suited for point-to-point radio, LMDS, SatCom and VSAT applications.

"The XU1010-QH provides impressive broadband performance with high linearity and high LO suppression at the RF port, a combination that reduces the gain and linearity requirements for the RF transmit chain," stated Paul Beasly, Product Manager. "The device combines the advantages of an integrated solution and a standard fully molded QFN package, allowing the user to reduce their board area, BOM count and time to market using standard SMT board technology."

The device is 100% RF and DC tested. Engineering samples are available today from stock, with a lead time of 14 weeks for production quantities. Technical support is also available from Mimix's applications engineers at 281.988.4600.
