New GaAs MMIC 1Watt PA and LNA Cover 18 to 34 GHz.Ideal for Microwave Radio, Military & Space, VSAT, and Test Applications!

Chelmsford, MA, 9/23/08 –
Hittite Microwave Corporation, the world class supplier of complete MMIC based solutions for communication & military markets, has introduced two new GaAs pHEMT MMIC amplifiers for use in point-to-point & point-to-multipoint radio, military & space, VSAT, sensors and test equipment applications from 18 to 34 GHz.

The HMC693 is a two stage GaAs pHEMT 1 Watt Power Amplifier MMIC which operates between 27 and 34 GHz. The HMC693 provides 17.5 dB of gain, 30 dBm of saturated output power at 23% PAE, while consuming only 800 mA from a +5V supply. This compact PA chip also delivers consistent IP3 of better than 36 dBm, making it ideal for digital radio applications in the 27.5 to 33.4 GHz bands.

The HMC519LC4 is a high dynamic range GaAs pHEMT Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) MMIC which operates between 18 and 31 GHz, and is housed in a leadless 4x4 mm SMT package. The amplifier provides 14 dB of small signal gain, 3.5 dB noise figure and output IP3 of +23 dBm, while consuming only 75 mA from a single +3V supply. Ideal as a LO driver amplifier for balanced, I/Q or image reject mixers, the HMC519LC4 supplies 11 dBm output power of P1dB. Both the HMC693 and the HMC519LC4 feature RF I/Os that are DC blocked and internally matched to 50 Ohms, which facilitates easy integration into Multi-Chip-Modules (MCMs), or microwave radio and VSAT systems.

Samples and evaluation PC boards for all SMT packaged products are available from stock and can be ordered via the company’s e-commerce site or via direct purchase order. Released data sheets are available on-line at www.hittite.com.
