Chelmsford, MA, March 7, 2008 – Hittite Microwave Corporation, the world class supplier of complete MMIC based solutions for communication & military markets, announces the release of five new chip and SMT GaAs pHEMT MMIC Driver Amplifiers which cover fiber optic, military EW, test & measurement equipment, and microwave radio applications from 5 to 40 GHz.

The HMC633 is a GaAs pHEMT MMIC Driver Amplifier chip which is rated from 5 to 17 GHz, and delivers 19 dB gain, +23 dBm output P1dB, and +30 dBm output IP3. The HMC634 is a GaAs pHEMT MMIC Driver Amplifier chip which is rated from 5 to 20 GHz, and delivers 22 dB gain, +23 dBm output P1dB, and +31 dBm output IP3. The HMC635 is a GaAs pHEMT MMIC Driver Amplifier chip which is rated from 18 to 40 GHz, and delivers 19.5 dB gain, +23 dBm output P1dB, and +29 dBm output IP3.

The HMC633, HMC634 and HMC635 driver amplifiers exhibit consistent gain and output power across their rated bandwidth and operate from a +5 V supply, making them ideal for military, test & measurement, and multiple microwave radio band applications. The HMC633, HMC634 and HMC635 feature 50 Ohm matched I/Os and require no external components other than standard bias decoupling capacitors.

For surface mount applications, the HMC633 and the HMC634 are available in RoHS compliant 4x4 mm leadless ceramic SMT packages as the HMC633LC4 and the HMC634LC4 and feature similar performance to their chip form counterparts.

Samples and evaluation PC boards for all SMT packaged products are available from stock and can be ordered via the company’s e-commerce site or via direct purchase order. Released data sheets are available on-line at www.hittite.com.
