The HMC630LP3(E) and HMC631LP(E) are GaAs HBT Vector Modulator RFICs which operate from 700 to 1000 MHz and 1800 to 2700 MHz, respectively. Targeted for distortion cancellation applications, as well as RF cancellation, beam forming, and amplitude/phase correction, the I & Q ports of the HMC630LP3(E) and HMC631LP(E) can be used to continuously vary the phase and amplitude of a RF signal by up to 360 degrees and 40 dB respectively, while supporting a 3 dB modulation bandwidth of up to 180 MHz. These devices deliver +34 dBm of input IP3 and an output noise floor of -160 dBm/Hz, which remains constant across the entire gain control range. More compact and consistent alternatives to hybrid and MIC based vector modulator sub-assemblies, the HMC630LP3(E) and HMC631LP(E) are housed in pin compatible and RoHS compliant 3x3 mm QFN leadless SMT packages, and consume less than 95 mA from a single +8V supply.
